According to state law, Redevelopment Authorities are empowered to buy and sell property, acquire property through eminent domain, and grant tax concessions. According to the Somerville City Budget, in FY11 the Somerville Redevelopment Authority members were James McCarthy, Ann Nancy Busnach, Iwona Bonney, William Gage, and Jeff Levine. Unlike its fellow, the Boston Redevelopment Authority, the Somerville organization does not have a web site. Its meetings have been announced in the City of Somerville Calendar.
